Bye Bye Stringing!

Sorry for the long silence. I was quite busy for the past few months. Well year 2012 is just around the corner. To be frank I have no new year resolutions. What I really hope is that my life in year 2012 is better than this year. I'm really thankful to God that I'm blessed with family members and dear friends who give me unconditional support and love.

I'm already bored of stringing..thus I have decided that I will not stringing necklaces any more. I'm still contemplating on selling my creations online. Right now I sell them directly to relatives and friends. My sisters are also helping me to sell them (thank you Niza & Et!!).

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May year 2012 be a joyous year for you!

My Creations!

At last! I was supposed to publish this post ages ago but then instead of blogging I was busy blog hopping and reading other blogs. It's about time that I concentrate on updating my own blog. By the way, I have created a handful of necklaces and bracelets which majority comes from custom orders. Below are the very few photographs that I took. What happened is that I don't have the time to take photographs as I'm busy. Another reason is that I'm not a good photographer and it seems that I took a long time to capture a perfect photograph until I'm personally satisfied. To be frank I think that my pictures look very amateurish unlike the beautiful, professional looking photographs in Etsy. Need more practise in taking photographs. Sigh...

The first necklace that I made using wire and sold!

Whisk Espresso Bar & Bake Shop @ Empire - a hidden charm

Well, this blog supposed to document my journey on crafting beautiful jewelry but then I could not refrain myself from writing about Whisk. After reading rave reviews about Whisk in the blogland I have decided that this is the place that I definitely need to check out. Actually this is the second time of me going to Whisk.

Stepping into Whisk will remind you of a small cozy cafe in New York. The place where you'll hang out with your friends. Like the one that you seen in the sitcom Friends except that it is on a smaller scale. Unlike the interior of its next door neighbour which is sleek and manufactured, Whisks' interior has its own character and charm.

Handwritten menu
I really wanted to eat the handmade ice cream but haven't got the time...sigh..

Stacks of cups, pots, containers

The cakes!!!

Macarons!!

Unfortunately I didn't have the time to dine in and savour the ambiance. However, I ordered Carrot Pecan Cake, Granny's Cake & Macarons for take away. I love the cakes as they are homebaked and rich in texture and taste. The macarons are delicious and will melt in your mouth but I don't think I can eat many as they are a bit sweet for me. Personally I think Whisks signature offerings are Red Velvet Cake & Macarons. And yes.. they also have Red velvet cupcakes!! I'll definitely come to Whisk again and buy the cupcakes!!

An Afternoon With Emi Kaz

I am a fan of Emi Kaz. His creations are detailed and structured. Thus I have decided to enroll in his wire jewelry making class - Wire Art Jewelry 2. Here I am on last Sunday I spend almost 5 hours in Emi's class making this bracelet. I enjoyed the class. He imparted many useful tips on making wire jewelry.
